Close and Reopen Test Run

After executing all the test cases for the test run, the team can close the test run to lock the status of the test cases. When the test run is closed, no status of the test cases can be changed. If the team still needs to edit the run, the plugin also supports reopen function.

Step of close

  1. Go into the Test Run Execution page.

  1. Click the [Close] button on the top of the page

  1. A warning popup shows on the page says:

‘Are you sure you want to close the run XXXX? Closing a test run locks all updates and you will not be able to update this run and add results.’

  1. Click the [Close] button, the popup window closes, the Run should be marked ‘Closed’.

Click the [Cancel] button, no changes saved for the run.

  1. When the Run is Closed, the [Close] button changes to [Reopen].

Step of Reopen

  1. Go to the Test Run Execution page of a Closed Run.

  2. Click the [Reopen] button on the page, a popup window shows on the page says: ‘Are you sure you want to reopen the run XXXX? Reopening a test run will revert its status to active, allowing updates and result additions.’.

Two buttons show on the page: [Cancel], [Reopen].

  1. Click the [Reopen] button, the Test Run is open. 

Click the [Cancel] button, no changes made.

  1. After reopen the run, the ‘Closed’ tag disappears. The status and details of the cases can be changed.
